The kids participated in 4-H Dramatic Reading today.  I am so PROUD! I could tell that most of them had spent a lot of time practicing and tried to use voice inflection to make it more "dramatic." All of the kids either got a blue or red ribbon from Mrs. Hurst.  She told me that our class was the best she has heard in the county. Yeah!

The kids did an amazing job on their presentations today! I was so proud of all their hardwork.  Do you know that they learned how to use a tradebook, encyclopedia, and Internet articles to complete and outline? Then they took the outline and wrote beautiful paragraphs to share the information they learned.  They also created beautiful posters to display.  Thank you to all who helped make this successful, especially to those who made the delicious dishes from around the world.

We had a very busy day. While we completed morning work, students took their Accelerated Reader tests on the novels they read. After we returned from gym, we took our Math Nine Weeks Test. It took almost an hour to complete because it had 49 questions on Geometry and Graphing. Then we had another class spelling bee to help give us a break. We worked on a writing prompt until lunch time. After lunch, we went to the computer lab and took Star Math and Star Reader tests.

The good news... their is NO HOMEWORK tonight. (Unless your child has missing assignments)
