Reminders for Ag Day tomorrow:
- Bring a packed lunch and drink.
- Wear appropriate clothing.
- You will be given a t-shirt tomorrow to wear. (It is blue.)
- Be on time because we are leaving around 8:30.
We had the shocking conclusion to our science experiment on vascular and nonvascular plants. We discovered that celery (a type of vascular plant) has tubes that carry the water up through the plant. The proof was in the experiment. We discovered that the water level went down and the celery gained mass because the water was in it. We studies the moss carefully (a type of nonvascular plant) and looked at the rhizoids that are used to pass water from cell to cell. It was also interesting to see the spore cases that were on top of the moss. Spore cases are used by some plants to reproduce.
